I consider this to be one of the best posts that I've seen on this topic. It truly disturbs me that lawsuits like this can do immense damage to an industry that serves a narrow audience. I have been a proud GW Micro customer since 1994. This is truly a sad day for me because I've tried to do everything that I can to encourage people to look at GW Micro products.

Best regards

From a practical standpoint, two things concern me about all this.

One effect of lawsuits, in any industry, is the impact on prices -- both
of FS and Gwmicro products in this instance.
With the legal cash registers jingling, neither company's customers stand
to benefit.
Secondly, actions, whether warranted or not, have a dampening effect on
competition -- and competition among players makes screen readers the
robust products they have evolved into.
Actions often can have 3rd party intentions namely, in this instance, the
smaller players in the field that have come out with no-cost or low-cost
screen readers.
The msg to them, tread lightly on our technology or you may not be around.
