I have to agree with you.  Serotek did turn a potentially disastrous 
situation into a very positive one and now is viewed by more and more 
people as a serious player in the screen reading industry with some very 
innovative products.
Hopefully, GWmicro can work out something from this patent infringement 
claim into a positive.
Hopefully, over time, coolheads and sanity will prevail as we need healthy 
competitors in this industry striving to make gains not through dragging 
their competitors through the mud but through product improvements.
As a user, I want more, not less choices, as that is what keeps products 
striving to better themselves and keeping them on the cutting edge.
While quite obviously I have no means of understanding patent law and how 
one company can unintentionally infringe on the rights of another, this 
kind of stuff has a very chilling impact as perhaps what this means is 
that software has to be reviewed by legal technicians as well -- not an 
easy thing to do I am certain.
