I can appreciate the sentiment around attribution. I think that it is
a very true fact that if you allowed attribution public facing, it
would encourage the creation and sharing of more themes. I feel that
the inclusion of rel="nofollow" would mitigate that slightly.

I appreciate the problem of attribution with plugins, but my personal
opinion is one of "tough-luck". That's the expectation you should
bring to the table when writing a plugin. I know that that's the
attitude that I bring.

With these opinions, I would challenge the current policy.

However, despite what my personal opinions are on this issue, we would
contribute a theme that held with the guidelines and policies that the
Habari project holds to. If that meant no public facing attribution of
a theme committed to -extras, then that's how we would add it.
