The express reason that individual contribution credit not be acknowledged directly in Habari core files is to avoid perceived and actual individual ownership of any code. This is an unnecessary change - one not driven by community need, but what I personally perceive as wanton vanity. The value to the community of individual core contributors nonetheless remains appreciated. Their contributions should be recognized, but note that even members of the PMC are not mentioned by name in the Habari distribution itself.
