"word to avoid" by FSF are too many and they are dealing with english language and North american culture, which already translate with difficulties in many other place. Some of their suggestion are good but they also don't suggest anything in vietnamese ... Why don't you use "closed and non-free" to make sure that your audience understand that you are talking about software that is not "open source". When translating that one have to translate the meaning, the essence but it must also translate it to its audience : colonialist software, enslaving software, unfree, "user subjugating software" The main thing to understand in proprietary is that the software as a "proprietor" some one who own the right whatever they want with the software.
