Comment #36 on issue 747 by [email protected]: Feature suggestion:
Keyboard Shortcut for Specific IM
http://code.google.com/p/ibus/issues/detail?id=747
Now I am confused about what is IBus 1.5's concept.
I thought using direct input (Eisuu) mode of each engine is against the
concept of IBus 1.5 and is not recommended because:
- IBus 1.5 introduces Japanese (and other languages) keyboard as an engine
- IBus 1.5 has dropped features to show current mode of an active engine at
a glance
* We cannot see whether it is in direct input mode or not.
Of course, we can bind super (or ctrl) + space to toggling engine's mode,
and use these two key binds (Muhenkan and super + space) seamlessly, but I
do not think this is a right approach.
Regarding to Windows 7/8, AFAIK, Super+space can switches IMEs
Windows 7 (Ja) uses Ctrl (Alt?) + Shift to switches IMEs and supports to
assign a unique key for each IME although it does not allow keys without
modifiers.
