Jolly Ginger Roger... not Rogers. I didn't name the drink after the
dancer!

We keep a box of Chablis on board most times. Also, Ginger brandy
and ginger ale (to mix Jolly Ginger Rogers - 1-1/2 oz. brandy,
Ginger ale, and ice). Nice switch from Dark & Stormys. But- we don't
drink at all until we're tied up at the end of the day or on the hook.

Spirits in moderation are wise when boating. I do love my beer and

On Persephone, we used to routinely toast with Prosecco (as my
sailing partner is Italian) and Stella Artois (as my mother is
Belgian) but in the last year, we've shifted to San Pelligrino and
H2O since I've decided alcoholic beverages were not wise for me or
for my partners (in excess). For some folks like me, shoving off
without the booze is just a much better idea, regardless of Uncle
Sam.

Encore's liquor locker is rather minimal... Mount Gay for the
obligatory toast to Neptune at the beginning of each voyage,
tequila for the sunrises during afternoon cocktail hour (and
possibly with breakfast as well), Bud (all my beer-drinking sailor
friends like it), water, coke (regular and diet). We've also been
known to have vodka on cruises for the bloody marys and
screwdrivers. Nothing very fancy....
Cheers!
