Thanks Henry. Do you suppose someone will find the time to do a
synopsis of this thread: Drinks on Board and list the ingredients?
It might be nice to post it inside the liquor locker, or use it when
provisioning!
When actually sailing the boat, I will have a non alcoholic beer with
lunch. At the end of the day, if it's hot out, nothing beats a gin &
tonic. When it's cold, I enjoy Scotch and water, but have never been
too picky. I almost tried Stove Fuel once, but then remembered mine
burned propane! ;-)

Jolly Ginger Rogers - the plural of Jolly Ginger Roger. Sorry for
any grammatical confusion.
Dark & Stormy - I'm pretty sure that consists of a jigger of light
rum mixed into about 6oz. of Ginger Beer. They're pretty good / and
fairly potent, too - another drink best left for the end of the day.

What the heck is a "Dark and Stormy?" Sounds a bit interesting!

Jolly Ginger Roger... not Rogers. I didn't name the drink after

We keep a box of Chablis on board most times. Also, Ginger
brandy and ginger ale (to mix Jolly Ginger Rogers - 1-1/2 oz.
brandy, Ginger ale, and ice). Nice switch from Dark & Stormys.
But- we don't drink at all until we're tied up at the end of the
day or on the hook.

aboard?
On Persephone, we used to routinely toast with Prosecco (as my
sailing partner is Italian) and Stella Artois (as my mother is
Belgian) but in the last year, we've shifted to San Pelligrino
and H2O since I've decided alcoholic beverages were not wise
for me or for my partners (in excess). For some folks like me,
shoving off without the booze is just a much better idea,
regardless of Uncle Sam.

Encore's liquor locker is rather minimal... Mount Gay for the
obligatory toast to Neptune at the beginning of each voyage,
tequila for the sunrises during afternoon cocktail hour (and

also been known to have vodka on cruises for the bloody marys
and screwdrivers. Nothing very fancy....
