"they" have gotten "us" to the point of believing that the above kind of thinking is not only OK, logical, acceptable, but a little biblical (or whatever "good" book you claim)--you can prove it just by saying it. even if what you say is true (and it may or may not be), you've not yet convinced me that this reasoning is quite on the level of, say, gravity. maybe, just maybe, YOU are not paying for it somewhere. MAYBE the company has made a choice to make a sound product and make less money on each item and sell more items and make more money. Such statements as "if a box has a free warranty superior to Apple's, you can be sure you're paying for it somewhere" rankle me worst than fingernails being raked across a blackboard. Its as though truth is found in mere, dull repetition, which, naturally, is a disease that has settled upon us like an icy, ill fog via the almost supernatural level of truth-defying propaganda that attacks us on a daily basis. I was in an emergency room 2 days ago and the waiting room tv was tuned onto the soaps: the advertising is even more shameless/ruthless/degrading/inhuman/sad than it used to be.
