I just got done setting up my Windows XP/Asus A7V333/AMD 2400+/512mb
Ram/80gb HD/ATI 9500/Ethernet/Soundblaster etc machine and it is not as fast
as my dual 1.42GHz G4 at all. I would rather run X on this beastie than XP
on the other.

It's more like 8% plus. Where do you get 2%. Oh, and by the way, if you
want to use the car example Apple has more of the computer market share than
Jaguar, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, Volvo and Volkswagen do combined in the car
market.

They are actually admitting their marketing mistakes and releasing a
processor (Centrino) that runs more efficiently at a lower clock speed. A
*first* for the PC world. They now have to sell a 1.8GHz chip that blows
the doors off of a P4 a 2GHz+. That's great!

Due to marketing Apple is always looked down upon in the press. We are
constantly taking slams in the media while Microsloth goes around admitting
problems, Hacks, Back doors, etc. with little repercussion. Just last week
Microsoft's own Software development department propagated a Virus. Have
you seen it or heard about it yet? Probably not.
