All very good points. I think you might be hard pressed to find anyone that thinks Apple Computer's iTunes Music Store is run by Apple Corps record label. However, when thinking about the confusion between the two, you have to remember it can go both ways. People *might* confuse Apple Corps recording with Apple Computer in thinking that Apple Corps records is part of Apple Computer. ie: Apple Corps might be confused as an extension of Apple's iTunes Music Store. This can happen because Apple Computer is the bigger, more well known name (at least in the US, I have no idea how well known Apple Corps is in the UK where the lawsuit is filed). That can be just as much of an issue because Apple Corps can then claim they are being hurt by not being recognized as a company of their own any more, and since they had "prior art" (had the name first), they should be allowed to keep it and Apple Computer should have to change. Of course, I still agree with your first assessment... this whole thing is just silly and really is just Apple Corps being a bunch of whiners and hoping to make a quick buck. -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
