Quite true, but it certainly illustrates how absurb our trademark laws are. Yes "it's the law" but why should Krok (his heirs, and stockholders) have a greater right to use of a common Scottish name (and even the prefix "Mc") than the millions who have that as their surname, and be able to bar them from using their name in any food related venture? Just because his lawyers made a grab ("registered") for a common name? It makes the ad agencies who earn millions for creating unique names ("Xarkon!") seem like saints in comparison.
