My problem is why is it that sometimes it won't shutdown! Thats what the subject line says! It doesn't say "Dan sleeps/shuts down his while you lot leave yours on, everyone have a go at Dan."
I have had this happen before and I don't remember if I zapped the PRAM or if I trashed some preferences...shut down preference maybe...or are you on OSX? Don't remember now...I would try trashing some general system preferences, restart and then empty the trash and hopefully that will get whatever is in there out!
