The iMac with the problem here(subriding on this thread-btw) is a
400Mhz USB/FW(either DV or SE, don't recall at the moment for my
insufficent internal caffiene level) and 'til lately quite nicely
working, but after swapping out the PRAM Batt. and it's RAM with an
extra 128Mb pc100 chip pulled from my BeigeG3, hit the CUDA, it's
still giving me only a single tone(no not chime) on any attempt to
bootup(no the power switch is not stuck down). And of course, my
not knowing now what to try next.

Take that RAM out -- it's clearly not working with that model -- and put in some known-good. That "tone" you're hearing is the official "no RAM" sound. Won't boot up without some, and it's not "seeing" the one you have in there. You either accidentally destroyed that stick with static, or it's not fully seeded, or it's just plain ol' bad RAM.

Luckily, 128MB sticks of PC100/133 SDRAM is extremely inexpensive -- dealRAM.com lists 128MB as going for $10 (hardly worth the mailing, even!) and even 256MB wouldn't set you back much more than a sawbuck.
