I need to send out an email to our policy holders. I was thinking about using imail1.exe to do it. I have created a batch file that will process all the emails exactly the way I want to send them, but I fear I will overload my smtp processes and/or the server. approx. 1000 imail1.exe command lines in the batch file. Is this just a bad idea?
I used the listserve portion before, but this wouldn't allow me to include the individuals policy # in the subject on each email. With the listserve when they bounce or we get a reply I have extra work correlating an email to policy # then sending to our service dept etc. (lots o extra work) Any suggestions, hints, flames to show me the right direction.... would be greatly appreciated.
