Righto, in response to Captain Owen's question about trainig, I hold up my
hands and say I was a leetle bit off-topic. However, any chance I get to bring
in psychology to a debate I do, and attention/performace was my speciality in
cognitive psych back when I was a student. (and that was my best subject!). As
for the bar argument. I've been going to training for seven years, and for most
of them I have been trotting up to the bar. However; training finishes at 10, I
face a 40 minute walk home and frankly I'm too exhausted these days to do
anything but go to bed. In asnwer to your question, I am in favor of short
bouts on the piste with rest/relaxation in between for training. As for "I'm
still in some degree of awe at your pathological hatred of the new training
regime (ie the one that involves training)." Well Owen, I seemed to do
*alright* without the new training regime if you remember?! I've not got a
pathological hatred of it; I have just been around too long to be told what to
do with my training. Once you have a new wave of recruits who are not used to
the "old way" I'm sure things will settle down. Sure, as I wasn't informed of
no Xmas training, I have now missed the very last one I''d planned to attend!
(sniff!) Only 8 days now till I'm out of your hair (or off this message board
at least)!
