Well As far as the chipset goes, I'm not really sure. It has a heatsink on the chipset that I don't really want to take off, as I'll never really be able to put it back on as well as it is right now (factory installed).
It's a WinTV PVR-150 though, not a 350. I don't really know how old it is, I've only had it for about 3 weeks, but I had bought it via ebay, and the seller said it had been sitting on the shelf for about a year. How can I tell what chipset it has otherwise? And as far as testing the server for it's sound being muted, I'll have to see what I can do. By the way: can you verify that your card has a saa7114 chip instead of a saa7115? I noticed this in your log. It's probably quite an old PVR350, right? If you do have a saa7114, then I'd like to ask you some tests. Note that this is unrelated to your sound problem, it's just an issue with the saa7114 that I'd like to clear up.
