Do they make single user modems with firewalls? If not, they should. I'm rather proud of that traffic cop analogy; came up with on the spur of the moment. *grin* or heard about it a long time and forgot and just think it's original. Yes, the only advantage to having a router is its wireless capability or for multiple computers, and if she only has one computer that's not wireless... do they make wireless modems?.... she doesn't need one.
