I don't believe that they make wireless modems.  There is no reason that a 
person couldn't use a router for just 1 computer, it's called planning ahead.  
Actually I also read that description of a traffic cop some where quite a while 
ago myself, but it is very accurate detailing what those things are used for.  
The only reason I jumped in at all on this thread was to make sure the lady 
knew if she needed such an animal or not. Your post was right on target, good 
job.
