Pres. Kiir will get rid of Pagan Amum Sec.Gen. Pagan Amum's sharp
stand on issues has put him on the hot ground with Pres. Kiir and
other party members. It seems that he speaks out his mind about
issues without the support of the president. Such a political behavior
from Mr. Amum carries a huge risk for his future in the party,
especially with the president like Kiir, who does the governing
business behind the scene quietly. As the president asserts his power,
he appoints the new comrades for the top advisory and ministerial
positions, while the so-called Garang's sons are increasingly under
siege. For instance, some have been removed from the corridors of
power. It is not a coincidence that the army (SPLA) has already been
purged of some potential leaders from Garang's legacy. Therefore, the
political wing (SPLM) will never escape the purging storm. David Aroo,
USA
Where is Mr. Pagan Amum? Some says he is in Kenya and others says he
is in Australia hiding amongst his family. Few weeks back people say
there was an attempted coup to oustt his boss from office that
resulted in his escaping abroad. His face and voice were no longer
amongst the people, this reveals that there is problem, and this is a
clear problem within the party. Juma, Juba

President Kiir and inner circle will stand trial some day I wrote a
comment sometimes back on SSN that President Salva Kiir and all of his
associates will be punished one day for looting the public funds. Now
SSLA (parliament) wants to question the minister of finance for the
missing of 2 billion dollars and I am sure this investigation will go
nowhere and nobody will be punished because these corrupted officials
are connected with President Kiir himself. If President Salva Kiir
himself could allegedly loot more than 12 billon dollars for himself,
how much you think the rest of his inner circles have looted? I am
praying and hoping that some day when there will be true democracy,
justice, and rule of law in the Republic of South Sudan, President
Kiir Salva and his inner circle will stand trial and face justice.
President Kiir and many officials who have been allegedly looting the
wealth of our nation for the last 6 years will be charged for misusing
of power, deliberately wasting public funds, and unlawfully making
private financial gains. Mithjwok Akol, USA

Building a perfect nation All Malith said are facts and we know them,
we the current young generation of South Sudan. Let South gain its
independent, who ever is hungry of war; will be satisfied. We are
ready to defend our territory as South Sudanese after independence. I
appreciate your concerned as citizen of South Sudan, but we shall over
come all hardships we are facing now and in the future. "Together we
can build the perfect nation " Moses M. Mading, South Sudan

When will the SPLA fight back to protect the people of Abyei and S
Kordofan? After the all dead? What will July 9 bring to SPLA? Is it
going to change anything, why now SPLA is begging for international
help as their own people being killed by Arabs? Marino Laper, USA

New beginning has kicked off. It is more pleasing that we have people
who are mindful about the welfare of the neglected majority in our
nation. We should never lose sight on where we have come from and
where we are heading. On a sincere note we can say we are in a big
muddle we cannot be able to remove ourselves from .Our leadership
interests should not at any stake be influenced by personal opinions .
At the moment we are supposed to begin seeing ourselves as a nation
not as tribes. The tribal background of who is to rule Southern Sudan
does not matter in any case but what is of importance are the virtues
depicted by the one to be a leader. Another thing of importance is for
us to increase our speed in responding to matters of higher importance
that require urgent attention such as health, peaceful coexistence
among the communities and eradication of poverty and illiteracy among
many. They say that nobody can go back and start a new beginning but
anyone can start today and make a new ending. It does not count much
now, how many struggles we have gone through but the new beginning
which has already kicked off matters much since it will not only
affect us ourselves but the coming generation . We must be careful not
to mess with our own lives. People were too happy when they heard they
have succeeded in secession but it was a big test that we, the
Southerners have put ourselves into. The northerners will be watching
us closely and they will never cease pointing out our blunders. Thuch
Madhier, Sudan

When there is break down in law & order, who is to blame? Many people
lose sight of the fact that the police role in a country is to
maintain law & order. Then why beating around the bush? The police
should be blamed head long & asked to either dissolve or make reforms
for the law & order to prevail. I know in Europe, America & all over
the world, law enforcing agencies hold the blame if there is
lawlessness, this should also apply to South. Blaming governors
exclusively for prevalence of lawlessness is categorically wrong. In
South Sudan the Police is centralized. Minister Giir Chuang should be
blamed for lawlessness in South Sudan & should be asked to resign.
Stop pointing fingers at governors. Makorou de Pachor, Sudan

Imposing SPLM will in draft constitution of the emerging nation state
of South Sudan The south Sudanese should decide wisely in accepting
the draft constitution. It's not a point of disagreement, what come
first is that, the constitution was drafted by only few individuals
from within the SPLA/M. The Bush-Law of SPLA/M was adapted by those
individuals, rewritten, and passed to the House of Legislative
Assembly for final adaptation. Thinking about the majority is the
first priority in SPLA/M. This is not based on population in South
Sudan, but it is all about who are the majority in the government. The
draft constitution did not support South Sudanese as a people, but
it's all about enforcing the will of SPLA/M on the rest of South
Sudanese after July 2011. The president of GoSS and his officials who
jointly came-up with this draft constitution should rethink. People
must be rule by Law, not by Will of other people. After July 2011,
South Sudan will be a real country like any other country on earth.
Therefore, those elements portraying tribalism must be removed. The
comment about those who are against the draft constitution are tribal
is completely wrong. It’s the draft constitution which shows 95
percent of elements included are based on tribal sentiment. 5 percent
was given to the international community and the rest of South
Sudanese were given complete absolute Zero (O %). The comment of GoSS
President on tribalism is real and it’s the SPLA/M doing so. If I may
ask, why the draft constitution was created as if South Sudan is a
colony? Jadalla Deng Sam, UK

Land annexation in south Sudan What you said brother Paulino in your
article about Fangak County applies also to Pigii, Khartoum and the
rest of counties with Chollo land. Fangak and the rest of it sisters
had been annexed to Junglei State because of conspiracy from some
Dinka Bor intellectuals and those of Atar and beyond to carve some
territories from Upper Nile state to be annexed to Great Junglei state
in South Sudan.. Okuc Awol, UK

Barack Obama, Is this the time to call for a ceasefire? With who was
the SAF fighting in the South? They stormed the South without any
response from the SPLA. What ceasefire his Obama talking about? If it
means the US and her allies getting involved in the ongoing one-sided
killing in the South Sudan by SAF, than let it be that call for a
ceasefire which was signed off during the peace agreement in 2005.
There is an evidence that the North has violated the peaces agreement
and still you call for a cease fire, that is being unbalance. James
Obote, USA

Warning to those who eat through others Thank you very much Isaiah
Abraham for your message of Unity of South Sudanese People, this time
is for Unity of People of South Sudan not division time. For those who
want to eat money through others, let them stop that. South Sudan
needs hard working People not hard eating People; their time is
already gone. Please, hard-eating People leave alone the hard working
people to work and make South Sudan a good place to live. Paul Agok,
South Sudan
