David, Referencing your question, firstly through an exhaustive research "some married couples are known to have had no children" and should be documented as such. Secondly and probably more important, making assumptions prior to an exhaustive and documented research can lead one into mythology and pure fantasy. Following an exhaustive research one can make a hypothesis based upon available evidence up to that point, however, newly uncovered evidence can either prove or disprove that hypothesis.
