Sorry for second posting but I'm rally at a loss.
I was able to test on PC today and though the volume control scripts
seemed to be executing OK the actual level of sound didn't change.
Here's my scripts again:
on startMovie
global vol
set vol to 4
set the soundLevel to vol
end
-- for volume [ + ]
on mouseUp
global vol
if vol < 7 then
set vol to vol + 1
set the soundLevel to vol
end if
end
-- for volume [ - ]
on mouseUp
global vol
if vol > 0 then
set vol to vol - 1
set the soundLevel to vol
end if
end
In the message window I can see the vol being set to 5,6,7, etc with
each mouseclick but no change in soundlevel - even when vol =0 the sound
was at same level as 7.
The PC is tested on has SoundBlaster Card and when I "put the
soundDevice List" I got "DirectSound", "MacroMix", "QT3Mix"
Can any one please help me out - I feel that I've run out of ideas or
steam.
