Hi,

Kerry and Irv (and all the others who tried their best to help me)

You guys are really swell! It really works! Really appreciate the time and
effort all of you have taken to help me. I had wanted to give up because it
was taking so much of my time... (and yours...) I did not want to trouble
you further, Irv ,after all the effort you have taken to help me and Kerry
,you were so kind to suggest that I e-mail you with my file... At first, I
didn't want to. However, I'm glad I did...

I've learnt a few things in the process:

Getting the code is one thing, how to use it 'correctly' is another. I think
that's very important. If I seriously wished to be a succesful Lingo
programmer, I had better learn to do it properly.. And as quite a few
people have suggested, there were many ways to go around the problem too.

I guess I owe you lunch ,(not just coffee...)Kerry. I'll e-mail you when
next I'm in San Francisco...
Also, Irv, I owe you lunch too.
Even Peri ...(thanks, Peri!) You responded quite a few times when I needed
help...

God bless you all for your kindness and generosity shown.

Thanks so much for helping,

Genevieve

P.S. Just curious, Kerry. What was the meaning of the words you wrote in the
last message, - something about Hong Kong friends appreciating what you
wrote? If that is not too much trouble to explain ... :)
