Et cetera, et cetera... =) 1. It's your job to decide... considering client and target audience - weigh of the pro's and cons - if for shockwave -> go for small size, for CD -> try to deliver quality - also consider the function of your project -> is it an informative database or is it a photogallery... 2. The heck with anything lower than P100 - don't ecxpect to run a multimedia pres. to run on a calculator - BTW lower than that are like comps on win 3.1 and stuff so forget about running a projector on that (BTWBTW a P100 is like 7 years old). 3. You can't ecxpect developers to continue living in the middle ages - otherwise we'd still be running everything from a command prompt...
This is a disscussion without end so make your life and mine a helluva lot easier - set your limits and decide based upon them. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Genevieve Young" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, October 04, 2001 3:30 PM Subject: Re: <lingo-l> Another Photoshop question > I know that the image in 24 bit certainly looks much better than 16 bit, but > is it worth it... > > It is well and good to say that everything depends on the client (after all > he is footing the bill) but do we just design anything based on what a > client says? > > I think the user is also very important.
