Just a question, in what format do you save  the images e.g. buttons,icons - 
  TIFF or  GIF?  Which is better?

How about photos/pictures? Are they in JPEG format?

I know that Director  compresses JPEGs further, and  this compression makes 
the image look quite different from what was intended. What's your take on 
this?

All this is for a  production on a cd-rom.
