Sorry, Thomas, I strongly (but cordially ;-) disagree--I think studying the behaviors, especially the simple ones like "rollover member change" is an excellent way of learning Lingo. True, a lot of the behaviors are too generalized, and an experienced programmer can do better for his/her specific needs. However, a lot of the behaviors, especially the ones written by James Newton, are really well done, and can be a lot of help to a beginner. Of course, there are even better sources--Gary Rosenzweig's "Using Director 8" is excellent, and Bruce Epstein's Nutshell books, while showing their age, are still good resources.
