there are a few attempts to utilize KNI in 2.3... but i dont think they've gone
very far... Mesa has been quick to adopt new enhancements. And most of the 3D
drivers (glide, some Utah-GLX driver, especially the Matrox driver), have been
quick to adopt these technologies... i hope others will follow... I hope all the
processors follow one standard, and feature set. It makes it easy for the developers...
Now we've to write code for taking advantage of 3dnow and Katmai, seperately...
it just obfuscates the code...
