We as human kind don't want robots. Well, rather, we don't know that
we want robots. And no one is suggesting that we don't try to solve
difficult problems. I'm saying that we don't want to use complicated,
convoluted solutions to problems that have been solved efficiently.

And no, I'm not involved in writing control loops for flying mech,
but I've worked on writing control loops and they are not trivial. A
flying mech is even worse. Not that it's impossible, but resources
are limited and better spent figuring out other problems instead.
