I wouldn't put it quite that negatively. You certainly appear to know alot
about the architecture. We all agree that REBOL is quite capable.

Why not divide the functionality up into 

1. Minimal core functionality
2. Extended core functionality
2. Necessary additional functions.
3. Added value functionality

or something like that and start implementing it. If someone sends me a
description/specs of 1., I can certainly respond with some ideas or - more
likely - alpha quality scripts.
