The KABOB project is something I would like to manage as open source,
and had been thinking of setting up at sourceforge soon. Bobr replied
to my post and alluded to another package that met the same
requirements, which I've been trying to track down. He also mentioned
it in another post last week.

When I first mentioned a mailing list moderator, I cited tasks like
"Maintain list FAQ, guidelines, policies, tone." which I wouldn't read
to include censorship. This was also in the context of diving up the
REBOL.ORG pie by component, something like

+ Mailing List Moderator - Maintain list FAQ, guidelines, policies,
tone.
+ Archivist - Manage script and mailing list library.
+ CGI Developer - Approve or design, test and maintain scripts used by
site.
+ HTML Developer - Design and maintain HTML pages, links, content.
+ Site Administrator - Vision, general oversight, dispute resolution.

In the exchange with Jeff, we were joking about Carl's recent post that
lead to dozens of "me-too" messages. I had sent an aside to Bo about
whether these were useful or set a good example, and he posted his
reply back to the list.

As REBOL traffic increases, another task for the Mailing List Moderator
might be to decide when we need to spin-off a sub-list (as Joel
mentioned), or when to close a sub-list for lack of activity.

Personally, I just happen to favor divide-and-conquer strategies. Give
someone a job and let them do it.

It appears that this would be an extension of his KABOB project at
http://husted.com/kabob/

which he would open source and make available for further project
development. Bobr, wrote about this earlier today. I do not see this
message
posted on the archive yet.

BTW, Ted, what is this about mailing list moderation? Are you serious?
Why
would this be necessary? I vote for no censoreship of the mailing list.

Hope this helps,

Cheryl
