Hi Michael,

So does everyone just follow The Secret Life of El Ninja, or are there
other books on the subject? And, did all of you already have a
motorcycle or if you purchased one, what did you purchase and how much
was it?

I've never seen the El Ninja book and I only know of one person who's read it. That's Tony and he's converting a Ninja 250 using the book. Tony has a blog on the website though life has gotten in the way of his conversion. Hasn't it for all of us?

Personally, I knew nothing about EV's two years ago other than they where cool and I wanted one someday. The more I looked into it the more I liked and decided to build a bike before I built a car. Now I'm on my second bike build and am only thinking of the car at this point - maybe next summer.

Just trying to figure out the feasibility of all of this. Oh yeah, did
you go and get the motorcycle rating for your DL or do you worry about
it?

I passed the Motorcycle Safety Foundation class many years ago and have been a street rider and licensed racer for a few years so I already had a cycle endorsement on my DL.

If you're not familiar with MSF it might be a good idea to become so. I don't know how much it costs now days but when I took the class it was $35 and you used their bikes. I can remember a couple of incidents on the street where I'm sure that if I hadn't gone to the class I'd be dead. Some companies will also give you a discount off your insurance too.
