Hi everyone,

Where are we going with this thread ?

One thing I try to put in place in my team is when someone start a project
or a discussion, he have to follow it, to run it, to summarize it, and to
find the people to do the actions (the hardest part I think). Because by
experience, when this person is not doing this work, the project or the
discussion is going nowhere most of the times or have to be taken by someone
who already have a todo list bigger than what a human can decently do.

Hi Philippe,

As a part of the loco council, we were just trying to be transparent
in our thoughts and get some healthy feedback out of this, and we did
get some feedback which we will look upon and implement the same in
the coming days.

One such thing for instance is, we are thinking about is provide a
platform to the locos around the world to express their views thoughts
and feedback with the loco council and we are thinking of a best
implementation technique to implement the same presently.

Regards,

Hi,

Since I'm in the council of my LoCoTeam, I've seen the great work of the loco council and the devotion of the lococouncil members. But I also had the feeling they have no real power on what they can do to help us or to answer our concerns on Canonical or the Ubuntu project actions.

I'm sure the actual and the new loco council members will do their best to improve the locoteams, to help, to provide the ressources, to point the right persons when needed, to change the feelings of the teams who are not curently "approved", to check the health of the locoteams and to resolve conflicts. Just doing all of that will be a chalenging work. We all have good ideas to improve the locos, and if the loco council can lead some of them it will be amazing.

But the loco council members can't do everything, and they don't have to. The community council, the community manager and his team, and perhaps all the other councils and boards have to take actions too to help the locoteams find new motivated members.

Best regards.

Philippe
