Thatll attract fans of both sports in what promises to be a spectacular event at the Hull Arena. Well look at why North Lincolnshire's Thornton Abbey is set to become a tourism hot spot. Its had a turbulent history, and well be finding out a little more about that on the programme tonight. And if you're a local amateur artist looking for somewhere to show off your latest canvas or watercolour, watch the programme to find out how you can get your work exhibited as part of a new competition. Well have all the rest of the days news and stories from around our region as usual, and of course Paul will be here with the forecast. Inside Out On Inside Out tonight on BBC One at half past seven, Paul will be talking about the Yorkshire Wolds. If you live in the East Riding you wont want to miss that one. BBC One at half past seven, a little plug there for Inside out. Hell also be joining me on the programme as usual for the weather, and to talk about the Yorkshire Wolds too. Thats all coming up a little bit later this evening. Stress Britain is in the grip of an epidemic of stress according to the researchers. Half of the people in this country say they are more stressed than they were five years ago. One in five people say theyre under strain every single day. Two thirds do not sleep well, or are grumpy as a result thats me - while a fifth say their sex life suffers. Money has overtaken work as the top stress factor according to the survey of 2000 people carried out for the Samaritans to mark National Stress Down Day. So are you stressed? If youre not sleeping, then you probably are. Thats a lesson for me. Eat and Drink Well scientists have come up with another good reason to hit the bottle. Red wine could delay the ageing process, and it can help you live longer according to a study. The popular tipple is already known to help prevent blood clots, lower the risk of heart disease, and even help the body break down fats. It contains melatonin, which protects cells from age related damage. The study on mice suggests that even small amounts of melatonin can significantly reduce the risks of developing illness such as Parkinsons disease. It could also delay complications brought on by conditions like Diabetes. Melatonin is produced naturally in the body, and is known as the sleep hormone because it helps the body to relax. Its also contained in many of the popular grape varieties used to make red wine. So there we are, red wine is fine, its full of melatonin, so feel happy to drink away well, within moderation. If you dont want to drink, well you can just eat onions, cherries, or bananas, because they too contain melatonin. So if youre a teetotaller, you have a bit of a choice, drink a glass of red wine or eat an onion.
