Hi there, it’s Peter here with Wednesday’s Levy Letter. On tonight’s programme,
as Lincolnshire Police prepare to make a case for more funding from the
government, we'll take a look at what this could mean for the county's services
and will ask if council tax payers will end up footing part of the bill. We’ll
get the full story on this tonight.

After the past month's heavy rain and storms, we'll be taking a look at the
renewed flood problems in one North Lincolnshire village. Tonight we'll be
explaining why residents of Barrow upon Humber have been battling against
flooding not from the heavy rainfall, but from an altogether different source.

Continuing our Road Watch campaign, we'll be focussing today on how the
Highways Department in Lincolnshire keeps an eye on the county's roads and how
much pot holes actually cost them. And of course we still want your comments on
this and any pictures of particularly bad pot holes! But don’t forget, only
take the photographs of bad roads if you’re in a safe position to do so! We’ve
had lots of emails and messages so far, so many thanks for those. Keep emailing
in to the usual address of [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Also tonight, with just two days of preparation to go before Hull FC launch
their Super League campaign, we'll find out what impact the current sickness
and injury crisis is having on the team.

Plus the most poisonous creature in the world is visiting Hull. One intrepid
Look North reporter will be taking a very cautious look behind the scenes at a
new exhibition at The Deep. That’s all tonight on BBC One at half past six. I
hope you can join me then.

Barnum

A quick plug today. The Chairman of the Hessle Theatre Company wrote in to ask
me for some help to plug his latest production. John Drury writes, “We are a
local company of enthusiastic and talented amateur performers, dedicated to
delivering the best West End and Broadway musicals, at a professional standard,
to new and existing audiences at the Hull New Theatre. At the beginning of
March we will be performing the award winning circus musical 'Barnum' at Hull
New Theatre.” Now then, I don’t know much about this, but it sounds very
exciting! John says that all of the performers in the group have been learning
circus skills at a circus school. I didn’t even know that a circus school
existed! There’s tight rope walking, trapeze artists, juggling, uni-cycling and
stilt walking – so it does sound like a proper circus! So there you go, look
out for the posters for ‘Barnum’ at the Hull New Theatre at the beginning of
March.

So that’s it from me. I hope you can join me tonight for the programme. Take
care,

Peter
