My "wish list" for an improved MacPerl Editor:
-- no 32k limit,
-- text styles (colors, highlighting, sizes, bold, ...),
-- true tabs,
-- Apple-scriptable (for syntax coloring, ...),
-- fit for MacOS X.

Tom Benders "TexEdit" (volunteer ware) would be great
to meet these requirements.
TE ist downloadable from www.nearside.com/trans-tex.
TE is based on Marco Piovanellis "WASTE"-engine.
TE is written in C.

In addition:
-- The editor should be searchable with true regex';
so maybe we can barter: Tom gets regex', and we
get TexEdit.

And we should try to discuss keyboard shortcuts for it;
maybe two or three sets, so one can choose.

BTW:
And we should have the vBulletin board
for our (this) mail list (www.vBulletin.com); vB needs MySQL.
It is written in PHP.
Or have Ikonboard, written in Perl without MySQL.
