To me, this means that we don't purge subscribers because of divergent views
from what the deceased founder of the list had advocated. We debate should
these issues civilly. A committee of moderators will necessarily function
differently from a list with a single authoritative moderator, and I don't
think that's necessarily worse.
Influential writers and editorial staffs of Marxist journals have taken
positions that the majority of people who post to this list would call
"campist" (e.g., seeing the conflict in Ukraine as being between two camps,
NATO/US and Russia/China, rather than a national struggle of liberation against
an empire). IMO, this is a debate that confronts Marxism internationally and
certainly worth debating on this list.
