In the system in my car only two pulses are used one for two of the cylinders and one for the other two. The injectors are therefore on at the same time rather than staggered over the cycle of all the cylinders. In the six Peter is suggesting that each pulse triggers the injectors for three cylinders. It doesn't matter too much that the port isn't open on some of the cylinders, the high fuel pressure escaping into the relatively low pressure gas ensures good atomisation of the fuel without the need for rapid airflow (as in a carbi) this is why fuel injection provides stronger torque at low rpm. In the case of using the six cylinder computer on the four cylinder motor, it should just work the same way that the factory 4 cylinder Bosch EFI is supposed to work. At least according to the manual I've got (Volvo version but so close to being the same that the wire numbers match) also if you come across these injectors, in a skyline or volvo they are probably worth having. They can squirt a lot of juice as noted in my rear view mirror when I take off (no its not oil or water), a cloud of unburnt fuel exits the exhaust. My next challenge to overcome.

but then wouldn't the computer send pulses to the 5 + 6 cylinders? or do you
set it up so that the first four cylinders it sends to on the 6cyl version
would be cylinders 1 3 4 2 ?
or are you talking about a different computer with the L24EFI setup?
