Hey George the CA18 is a mighty engine :) Steve Newing has-had a normally
aspirated one ex speedway that has around 220hp out of a 1800cc engine is
unreal. He is also a guru when it comes to datto-nissan stuff he has done some
work for me at a very reasonable price and extremely good quality.
I have seen 520hp out of a CA18det in a 180sx in Japan very modified running
28psi it run 10.4 down the quarter in a heavy car. My engine can safely run
upto 20psi with 15psi it has around 320-330hp 400hp Would be its limit without
spending lots on custom rods ect. The forged pistons will handle it the crank
will aswell.being steel with a huge steel girdle to hold it together. It is easy
to get around 200-220hp out of a stock as a rock CA18det just fit a good size
exhaust and filter and bump the boost upto 12psi.
The series 3 bluebird box will bolt upto Ca18 no problems this was one of the
gearbox option's I had on my conversion but decided for the stumpy skyline box I
have now broken two of these.
If you want any other info give me a yell
Cheers Andrew
