The regd tare weight for a 510 is 970 Kg but this is for the heaviest of
them which was a '72 GL auto. The registered tare of a manual 4 speed '71 is
910 Kg or just over 2000 lbs which is not helpful as a VG30 is 2960cc. This
means the 1600 is under weight by 16.7 Kg for the VG30 NA technically if you
wanted to fit one in a GL auto. I wonder how strict they are with this rule
or is it up to the engineer.

get the weight of your car and times it by 2.5 for legal turbo capacity or
by 3 for N/A legal limit
a 12a is considered 2.4 Ltr and the 13b is considered 2.6 Ltr
so for the 13b turbo your car must weigh 1040kg
