Your right about WL Ryan. Unfortunately they
just closed a few months ago. A great pity as they were the car builders
mecca. They stocked all sorts of hard to find bits, from special tools to fuel
and brake system bits, electrical. Ryans seemed to always have it.
May be an opportunity for a new entrepreneur to set up another one - even a
chain around Australia?
These modern "Racegear" shops are just a disguise
for designer underwear and overalls with a few anodised alloy bits in boxes on
the side counter and the odd Momo steering wheel - great if you want to pretty
up the Honda and go racing - but not really in our market where serious power
modifications are undertaken.
Perhaps we should make a list our favorite parts
suppliers for everybody's information.
