I looked at stroking my CA18 with CA20 crank ect. The crank was not the problem
getting custom rods ect was going to be the expensive part also all that work
for only a small gain in capacity the ca20 has bigger bore. Im aiming at 400hp
with my next stage of development with cams solid lifters bigger valves ect.
shoudl be a handfull I feel this would be at it limit without going bigger
better bottom end parts have heard of over 500hp from some jap spec ca18det
180sx it run 10's!!! The ca18 engine is very compact and very strong I have been
fairly harsh on my engine big 4th gear burnouts ect even running 20psi it runs
without problems :) just regular mobil 1 oil changes. The engine will be appart
for a while after the house -workshop is completed getting the headwork done and
look forward to getting it tuned ect time will tell how it goes in the HP stakes
I dont really want to run anymore than 20psi (have run upto 25psi ) and get as
much as possible hopefully around 270-280 at the wheels. (lots of fun in a
little 1200)
Cheers Andrew
