I f$#kin reckon. When I wrecked my old rally car, I had a Holley blue lying around and stuck it on my 1600 street car. God damn, the only way to get around the noise is to turn the stereo up a bit. Incidently I checked the flow rating and come to the conclusion that you would need some serious horsepower to even try to outflow the pump! I noticed a rotary with something like 500kW at the flywheel using one as a surge tank pump, so I guess I've got some flow capacity still left in it yet ;-) Mine is now running as my surge tank pump and until I have enough spare dough to buy something quiter I will be stuck with it! They are reliable though, mine seized once, so I simply pulled the rotor/stator apart and cleaned it out, never had any trouble since!
