Indeed they did make them in RSA, and at least into '73, but I also noticed that someone entered a 4 door '69 H510 in the Targa NZ and also I've seen reference made to a HL510 - now they're a rare 1600, like I think the Coupe H510 started in '71 at the earliest and I don't recall the H510 ever being made in LHD. There was a rumour that some H510 Coupes in Japan were offered ex factory with a L20B engine - not sure about that one either. We used to enter our P510's as H510's in local rallies so we could run the L18SSS and Peter Sayers won the SA Pedders PRC championship in a '69 P510SSS but entered as a H510 (not even SSS) - I don't think anyone much cares, and I'm sure the Mitsui and Escort boys were doing the same things to get around the rules - may be that's why the body numbers have disappeared on some 510's?

Sorry richard they did make the H510's as 4 doors with L18's right at the end of production, well in atleast South Africa they did. Later.
