Indeed they did make them in RSA, and at least into '73, but I also noticed
that someone entered a 4 door '69 H510 in the Targa NZ and also I've seen
reference made to a HL510 - now they're a rare 1600, like I think the Coupe
H510 started in '71 at the earliest and I don't recall the H510 ever being
made in LHD. There was a rumour that some H510 Coupes in Japan were offered
ex factory with a L20B engine - not sure about that one either. We used to
enter our P510's as H510's in local rallies so we could run the L18SSS and
Peter Sayers won the SA Pedders PRC championship in a '69 P510SSS but
entered as a H510 (not even SSS) - I don't think anyone much cares, and I'm
sure the Mitsui and Escort boys were doing the same things to get around the
rules - may be that's why the body numbers have disappeared on some 510's?

Sorry richard they did make the H510's as 4 doors with L18's right at the
end of production, well in atleast South Africa they did.
