This is perfectly true I think. An infant mind is pure and innocent and looks at the world probably as close to reality as a sentient creature can get. The difficulty lies in that the infant, in its innocence, likely has no wonderment at its unique perception which virtually renders it useless. Wordsworth wrote about it in "Ode on Intimations of Immortality from Recollections of Early Childhood" and the greatest of all of course is probably Peter Pan. But on the dark side is Lord of The Flies. Unbridled Innocence is not all goodness and flowers. What is it they say about boys? Snips and snails of puppy dog tails.
