Hey Fiddler, Religion doesn't kill people, people kill people. ;-)

I just had to say that.  It's not the idea of a god that is the problem.  It
the way some people use that idea.  The idea of God, imo, can be helpful to
some people.  To give them hope, to not feel alone, to give purpose to an
otherwise purposeless life.  Whatever hole they have they can fill up with
God.  Yes, this is delusion.  But in most people it is a harmless one.
Focus your passion against those that abuse religion and leave those that
worship in peace in peace.  Torment the hypocrites and lairs, not your
average believer because most aren't a threat.  Perhaps the Catholic church
deserves some of your anger or resentment or disgust.  Focus that on the
institution and not let it prejudice you against all believers in a 'higher
power.'
