The grasping power of the mind is not a sense , unless of course you
are speaking of consciousness which is behind all the senses including
our understanding. But consciousness in itself is not God, it is a
proof of Presence and the fact that we are emanations from a living
entity and not a dead nothing. In fact if you look at the word
"nothing " you see it is " no thing " that is  neti , neti.
