I tried doing this, and it went into low-graphics mode, with an error that it couldn't load nvidia, so I've re-installed nvidia for now. I also have two monitors which may complicate things. Next thing to try is some of the power management suggestions from Jeremy. -- Mark http://www.lambic.co.uk
