As a lover of fine lobby cards and inspired by Bruce's sales pitch I decided to
check out his great offering of lobbies.
I was intrigued by the Scarface card as it looked somewhat familiar to me and a
quick search of the Heritage archives shows that this exact card was auctioned
two years ago this month, so it will be interesting to see how it performs in a
different venue now.

Also interesting to me was a comparison of the large scan of the card from
Emovieposter as to the one Heritage made.
Many times we hear vague references to "some" auction houses and how "they even
trick you with the images, using "stock images" or "enhanced images"" and now
at least for one item we can see how they compare against each other. I
certainly found it strange that a large tear in the top border of the card is
clearly visible in the Heritage scan, but is nearly invisible in the
Emovieposter scan.
I think both companies grade the card about the same, but it is hard to tell as
Heritage uses a 10-point grading system (giving this one a 7 out of 10), while
Emovieposter uses a Fair to Fine scale, which I think translates to a 7-point
scale making comparisons much more difficult but makes this a 5 out of 7. I
certainly don't think Emovieposter is enhancing or softening their image, but
it does show how two different cameras can view the same card.

Here is Bruce's large image:

Subject: [MOPO] FA: Mother of mercy, are many fine lobby cards going to sell
at under wholesale? They WILL, if in 13 hours they are where they are now!

Usually I use these last day "reminder e-mails" to point out the many items
closing in a few hours that are still at just a few dollars each. But Thursday
night's 666 single lobby cards (including 121 title cards and 41 signed cards),
closing tonight, on the 18th of March, starting in just 13 hours, currently
includes lots of REALLY incredible values on items that usually sell for
between $25 dollars to two hundred dollars, and currently many of these are
languishing at low, low, prices, quite a few at "under wholesale"! I certainly
hope the savvy dealers like John Hazelton, Morrie Everett, Joe Burtis, Marty
Davis, Rich Halegua, and many others are all over these like a cheap suit,
because there is money to be made!

With just 13 hours to go, there ARE still over 100 of these cards that are $3
or under, but I want you to go right now to the gallery of ALL the cards and
see just how many wonderful buys there currently are!
