Clearly I can recognise specific examples, particularly extreme examples - ie I do "know" the difference. The problem was to find any clear distinguishing feature(s). (ie I can see clear dictinctions between the levels 1 & 2 and levels 2 & 3, but the 3 & 4 distinction is much fuzzier - definitionally, not in actual practice I can't quite believe the role reversal here ... you telling me a pragmatist who generally disowns "definitions", that definitions / categories will necessarily be fuzzy ... I agree. I was using the endless quest to find / agree clear distinguishing features as part of that argument, not that I expected to find one clear distinction - merely many possible factors that you might take into account ... but still fuzzy.
