That's it exactly Krimel, this is what I'm trying to convey by
Establishing SOM as cultural as it stands today. We need not suppress it,
shed it, Or replace it. It can however be transformed.

[Krimel]
I think one can make a compelling case that technology transforms culture
much more effectively and radically than do ideas. It always comes with
unintended consequences but it changes our ideas and our understanding. And
if you look at many of the ideas bandied about here you will find technology
underlie most of the transformations. From Plato's philosophical response to
mathematics to McCluhen's musings on the effects of media, philosophy's job
has not been to originate transformation. Its job has been to account for
the transformations. Witness Pirsig's attempts to explain the Victorians.

Ron:
The levels offer a conceptual understanding of his thoughts about
evolutionary Principle, to apply them with out discrimination to the
whole body of the Moq thought seems to create confusion.

[Krimel]
Part of the problem in this respect is that Pirsig is not an authority on
evolution. His evolution chapter in Lila is just sad.

Ron:
Interestingly enough, while trying to get a grip on intellect
I looked up culture then civilization and there was no clear delineation
Of what defined either except that they were defined by complexity.
Complexity was the only distinguishing characteristic between humans,
Animals and insect societies, and by your comment it seems to be growing
In complexity.

[Krimel]
Complexity is a critical factor indeed.
